An Amazon Echo Show 8 costs only about $110, and I bet you will say that this is the best 110 bucks you’ve ever spent. It is really amazing when you will use it on a daily basis, from news to music to controlling smart bulbs.

It’s an 8” touchscreen smart speaker from Amazon. You can watch movies on it. It supports Amazon Prime videos and Netflix. It’s a bit heavy as it packs the speakers, and there is no grab handle to hold, but yes, this entire unit is very decent quality. The front is dominated by this 8-inch touchscreen having HD at 720p.

One thing which needs to have to mention that it sounds pretty decent. There is decent bass, and the sound gets loud enough to fill a big hall room. Buttons and ports wise you’ll get a mute button on the top along with volume up and down.

Everything on there, you don’t have to be viewing it straight head-on to get a good clear image nice and bright. And it sort of reasonably punchy as well, good stuff.

Unfortunately, the Echo Show 5 doesn’t have a built-in battery. So you can’t simply fill her up with juice and then take her on the road with you. You’ll have to have a plug-in.

It’s a really lovely intelligent neat design here on the Echo sure 5. You’ve got some physical controls at the top with volume up and volume down. You’ve also got a mute mic button right there, which is very handy if you value your privacy.

You’ve also got a camera shield as well; you just quickly and easily cover that as like the Echo Show 8. Then around the back, you’ve got the power ports, a 3.5mm your jacket, and also a bit of a Micro-USB support there as well.

There’s no camera of any description built into this thing. The fact that this thing is designed to live in the bedroom means that the lack of a camera isn’t really a massive miss.

You’ve also got a little switch up here, which mutes the microphone if you want the Google nest not to be listening into your conversations. And you’ve also got a volume rocker on edge.

You will find here the Soli Radar tech that was built into the Pixel 4 series flagships, remember. If you’re a Google fan and this can also be used to, for instance, pause or resume your media. It does have a full automatic brightness by the ambient sensor on top.

It’s basically a 7-inch shrunken down version of what already exists as the lenovo Smart Display. Those were 8 inch and 10 inch models. Here is a 7 inch version. This is a 7 inch full hd display. Instead of having a surface that’s more screen than anything else, the lenovo Smart Display has a speaker that’s firing forwards.

There’s also a camera above the display here so you can use this to make video calls via duo. For those of you who are more privacy conscious, there is a shutter you can use to close off the webcam.

The processor here is a mediatek processor compared to the qualcomm ones that were on the 8 and 10 inch Smart Displays.

After observing both midrange smart screens, we are in a point that the basic difference is came from the feature of getting in buit camera. If you want a camera in your smart home assistant to deal with you properly before the starting of a meeting or a video chat, then go for Lenovo. Otherwise, I would like to recommend using the Google product for the better sleep monitoring program.

Amazon Echo Show 10 (3rd Generation): The smartest AF

Amazon has just upgraded its Echo Smart Display with this third generation Echo Show 10, an alexa powered tabletop gizmo that can track your every movement while silently plotting your doom. Or just silently Showing you a good recipe for cupcakes. Of course the Echo Show 10 certainly ain’t cheap. It’ll cost you the same only random price of $250. But it is also a really clever bugger and a strong rival to Google’s Nest Hub Max.

The Echo Show 10’s built-in microphones work really really well in noisy situation. As for that screen when it’s a 10.1 inch ips panel with a 1280×800 pixel resolution so not super super crisp but absolutely fine for just you know kick out with a bit of netflix or a spot of youtube.

It is a bit of a beast as far as small displays are concerned. You’ll definitely want plenty of tabletop space especially when you consider the fact that screen does swivel about the place as well. As far as the construction it’s essentially a tablet bolted onto a speaker.

It’s primarily constructed from plastic, which is 30 recycled. We’ve also got 100 recycled fabric in there as well and some 100 recycled aluminium. You can grab this bad boy in two different colors,  charcoal and glacier white.

On top of the Amazon Echo Show 10, you’ve got a selection of physical controls there. So you’ve got volume controls for reason or the volume of your media. You’ve also got a mic mute button if you want a bit of privacy for whatever reason. If you require even further privacy getting up to something really wild in your kitchen then you do actually have a camera shield as well which is completely covers that camera lens.

Now of course one of the more unique features here on the Amazon Echo Show 10 is its slightly unnerving ability to track you as you are moving about the room. You can set this up at any point by diving on into the settings and then going to the motion section. Otherwise you can just use your voice say, “Alexa, follow me.” and this feature is creepy for sure but it’s also very handy as that screen can actually swivel almost a full 180 degrees. It’s really handy in the kitchen for instance you’re moving about the place while you’re watching something you don’t miss any of the action or also when you’re video chatting with people assuming that you’re not absolutely sick to death of talking with your family over the internet by now. Unfortunately you do have to manually tilt the display up and down to get the perfect view, it can’t do that automatically.
